Having previously studied music, Charlotte began a second career in nursing in 2011, initially working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children’s Hospital. In 2015, she transitioned to Family and Internal Medicine in a medically underserved community near Pittsburgh, PA, where she was a Platinum Star Winner of UPMC’s Award for Commitment and Excellence in Service. She graduated summa cum laude from Robert Morris University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing before completing a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner program at Carlow University in Pennsylvania in July 2020. Following graduation, she completed a Family Nurse Practitioner Residency with Allegheny Health Network. Charlotte also has a heart to give back to the community both at home and abroad, volunteering at a free clinic for medically uninsured patients and as a medical committee member of FLM Haiti, travelling to Haiti twice with a medical mission team. Having spent most of their lives in western Pennsylvania, Charlotte and her husband fell in love with the west and the Sierra Nevada mountains following several trips to the region and decided in 2021 to relocate to the Carson City-Reno area. She and her husband have three young-adult sons. In their free time they enjoy music, travelling, hiking, and paddling.
