Northern Nevada's Surgical Eye Care Team
Since 1996, Sierra Nevada Eye Center has provided cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and comprehensive ophthalmology services to residents of Northern Nevada. Patients throughout Carson City, Reno, and the greater Lake Tahoe region come to us for their vision care.
Our team of 5 ophthalmologists and optometrists serves patients across our Carson City and Reno offices. Dr. Robert Wolff, our principal surgeon, was the first in Northern Nevada to implant the iStent for minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and our team brings decades of combined experience in cataract and glaucoma care.
Sierra Nevada Eye Center operates out of three clinical offices in Carson City and Reno. Select surgical procedures are performed at Physicians Surgery Center of Nevada, and for patients in the South Lake Tahoe area, at Barton Memorial Hospital.

Experienced Leadership
Dr. Wolff was the first surgeon in Nevada to implant the iStent for glaucoma surgery. Dr. Westafer completed a glaucoma fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic and has served as an American Academy of Ophthalmology Counselor for Nevada. Our patients benefit from that depth of specialized training.
